By accessing or using Penguin Translator (the ‘Service’), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Service description

Penguin Translator provides AI‑powered translation and grammar correction. Features may evolve. Some features may be offered under paid plans in the future.

Acceptable use

• No illegal, infringing, harmful, or abusive content.
• No automated scraping or excessive use beyond published limits.
• No attempts to extract model parameters, security testing without consent, or reverse engineering.

Content & intellectual property

• You retain rights in your input content. You grant us the limited rights needed to process and deliver results.
• Model outputs may be subject to third‑party terms (e.g., AI provider). You are responsible for appropriate use.
• The Service (branding, UI, code) is our intellectual property and protected by applicable laws.

Availability & changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice when feasible.

Accounts & payments (future)

Some features may require an account and subscription. If enabled, billing will be handled by our payment provider (e.g., Stripe) under separate terms. We may set quotas and rate limits.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided ‘as is’. We do not warrant accuracy, completeness, or suitability of translations for any specific purpose. Outputs may contain errors. You should review outputs before using them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence as a consumer, or otherwise by the laws of France, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be signaled on this page.
